CHOIR SPAGHETTI DINNER FUNDRAISER SET FOR OCT. 18
The Houston High School Choir is hosting its annual spaghetti dinner and karaoke night on Tuesday, Oct. 18, in the HHS cafeteria.
Food will be served from 5-6:30 p.m. with karaoke continuing until 7 p.m. Cost is $5 for spaghetti, bread sticks, salad, dessert and drink. Children five and under are free.
Tickets can be purchased from a choir member or at the door. To-go boxes will be available for anyone who can’t stay.
MIDDLE SCHOOL PARENT NIGHT ANNOUNCED
Houston Middle School is hosting a Parent Night from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18. Teachers will be available in classrooms to demonstrate technology and programs to attendees, such as i-Ready, USA Test Prep, Khan Academy and others.
The district said instructors will answer questions and show parents what students can do at home. A schedule and map will be available at the front door. Each sessiont lasts about 15 minutes with the opportunity to attend up to four different sessions. Parents can also learn how to login to Parent Portal for checking grades, attendance, lunch balances and other important information.
