Funded by a mysterious, clandestine group represented by a man who went by the pseudonym "R.C. Christian," the Georgia Guidestones near Elberton, Ga., consist of 951 cubic feet of Pyramid Blue granite weighing more than 237,000 pounds. The monument was publicly unveiled in March 1980.
