Jewell Dean Stark Dewitt, 80 of Cabool, passed away peacefully at her home Friday, Sept. 9, 2016, after a lengthy illness.
She was born Sept. 24, 1935, in Summersville, daughter of Henry and Elva Brewington Stark.
She worked for Brown Shoe Company until her retirement. She enjoyed gardening and being outdoors. She was an animal lover. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands, Elvis C. Dewitt and Gary Elliott; and a grandson.
Survivors include four children, Kathy Martin, Kaye Brewer, Elvis Dewitt and Edward Dewitt; seven siblings, Marie, Lois, Judy, Gary, Russell, Robert and Brenda; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and numerous other relatives and friends.
A memorial visitation is 3-5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, at Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool.
