Dianne “Nana” Nash, 68, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016, at her home.
She was born Feb. 10, 1948, in Licking, daughter of Clyde Dwight and Jane Williams Murri Nash.
She worked as a roofer for most of her adult life in California and later as a foster grandparent in Alton, Ill.
She trained three birds to talk and do tricks. She enjoyed watching and collecting movies. She loved to read and expressed herself in her writings. She also enjoyed sewing and making candles.
She participated in Toys 4 Tots, delivered meals to those less fortunate and donated to the Arbor Day Foundation as well as several Indian reservations throughout the country.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson.
Survivors include a sister, Darlene Westmoreland; four children, Tonie Townsend Jr., Tonia Maloney, Tracy Mordis and Travis Townsend; 10 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
No services are planned. Cremation was under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
