Two persons were injured Saturday when their vehicles met in the middle of Highway 32 and sideswiped, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Sgt. Dale Pounds said an eastbound 1997 Dodge Ram driven by Aaron K. Reed, 31, of Licking; and a westbound 1967 Chevrolet two-ton truck operated by James L. Brannam, 71, of Success, collided about seven miles west of Licking.

The mishap occurred at about 9 a.m.

Reed, who had minor injuries, was transported to Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla. Brannum was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston with moderate injuries.

Neither was wearing seat belts, Pounds said.
