A Licking man faces charges following a crash north of Houston near Twin Bridges on Friday, July 29, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

A Licking man is in the Texas County Jail after a wreck north of Houston on Friday night.

Tpr. Justin Piccinino  said a northbound 1997 GMC van driven by Terry W. Storm, 24, ran off U.S. 63 and overturned at about 7:49 p.m. about seven miles north of Houston.

An off-duty Mountain Grove police officer had witnessed erratic driving before the crash and held Storm and a passenger, Seth M. Bryson, 25, of Houston, before troopers arrived, authorities said.

Bryson was flown by medical helicopter to Cox South in Springfield with moderate injuries. Storm refused treatment.

Storm is charged with DWI, second-degree felony assault, careless and imprudent driving, driving while revoked and wearing no seat belt.
