A stretch of U.S. 60 in four counties will be reduced to one lane over the next two months as contractor crews perform guardrail improvements.
The Missouri Department of Transportation said the section of roadway is from the Current River bridge in Van Buren in Carter County through Shannon, Howell and Texas counties to the Whetstone Bridge in Wright County. Work is to begin June 20 and continue through mid-August.
The work zone will be marked with signs. Crews will work from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m. daily, including weekends as needed. Motorists are urged to use caution while traveling in the area.
