Stephanie “Steph” Lynn McGaha, 42, of Huggins, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

She was born April 11, 1974, in St. Louis, daughter of to Edward and Constance Davis Oventrop. She and Roy McGaha were married Dec. 21, 1999.

She lived on multiple Army bases as part of a military family. She graduated high school from Lawton, Okla., in 1992.

She attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Houston.

She loved taking care of her family, cooking, sewing and making dresses for her girls. She also enjoyed raising chickens, gardening and quilting.

Survivors include her husband, Roy of the home in Huggins; five children, Michael Edward Dana of Springfield, Brianna Louise Dana of Macclenny, Fla., and Ian Carl McGaha, Jacob Andrew McGaha and Willow Grace McGaha of Huggins; her parents, Edward and Connie Oventrop of Macclenny, Fla.; a brother, Matt Oventrop of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, Laura Stewart of Raiford, Fla.; and her dog, Samson.

Memorial services are 11 a.m. Saturday, May 14, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishop Doc Openshaw officiating. Cremation was under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
