Michael Anthony Snyder, 73, of Willow Springs, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at his home.

He was born Jan. 20, 1943, in Indianapolis, Ind., son of Melvin R. and Mary Catharine Ferraro Snyder.

He was raised in Indianapolis, Ind., and graduated from Sacred Heart High School. He graduated from Purdue University with a degree in agriculture.

He worked as a police officer for more than 20 years in different states, including Indiana, Georgia, Minnesota and Kansas. After retiring, he moved to southern Missouri, where he spent the last 16 years enjoying life.

He enjoyed gardening, reading and debating.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include a special friend, Eugene Weber of the home; a brother, Dennis Snyder of Indianapolis, Ind.; two nephews; and a great-nephew.

Memorial services were Monday, April 4, at Evans Funeral Home with Father Matt Rehrauer officiating. Inurnment was in Pine Lawn Cemetery.
