Sales tax revenue in Houston was nearly unchanged during the latest monthly period.

Revenue from sales taxes collected in Houston was nearly unchanged in the latest monthly distribution compared to 2014, according to the Missouri Department of Revenue.

The tally from a one-cent sales tax was $56,610, up $221 from the same monthly period a year ago. For the first three quarters of the year, $536,612 has been collected. That’s up $15,208 from the same period a year ago.

Merchants also collected two quarter-cent sales taxes for streets, sidewalks and utility work. Each contributed $13,769, up $77 from a year.

An eighth-cent sales for debt repayment on a fire truck netted $6,884.
