Military veteran

Lloyd Earl Price, 70, passed away May 21, 2015, at Midwest City Regional Hospital in Midwest City, Okla.

He was born Feb. 3, 1945, in Success, son of Noble and Violet Young Price.

He had had 15 brothers and sisters who were all born and raised in Success. He attended school in Success.

He joined the Army National Guard on Nov. 5, 1960, and was honorably discharged May 4, 1961. He then became a truck driver for more than 45 years.

He enjoyed watching the Oklahoma Sooners games, westerns and spending time with his family. He loved playing with his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Doyal Price; a sister, Barbara Price; and a step-daughter, Susan Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Ellen Price of Midwest City, Okla.; two daughters, Jill Alvarez of La Pine, Ore., and Stephanie Burleigh of Flippen, Ark.; a step-daughter, Violet Vardaman of Midwest City, Okla.; two stepsons, Wayne and Troy Smith of Midwest City, Okla.; two grandkids; eight step-grandkids; four great-grandkids; nine brothers, Norman of Pierce City, Charles of Success, Walter of Aurora, Raymond of Pomona, Jerry of Cadet, Gilbert and Paul of Aurora, Phillip of Sapulpa, Okla., and Scott of Sarcoxie; four sisters, Dorthy Clow of Purdy, Shirley Stice of Success, Lois Stanton of Houston and Star Stice of Plato; and many of nieces and nephews.

Inurnment is 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, in C.T. Smith Cemetery in Success.
