A Success accident Friday, June 26, led to injuries to a Plato woman, the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

A Plato woman faces charges after an accident early Friday north of Success, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Sgt. Dale Pounds of the patrol said a 2003 Dodge Ram driven southbound by Rhonda G. Stocum, 48, of Plato, travelled off the right side of the roadway and struck an electric pole just north of Success on Highway 17.

Stocum, who was wearing a seat belt, sustained minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital.

She is charged with driving under the influence of drugs, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway resulting in an accident; and having no valid driver’s license.

A Cabool man escaped injury when his motor home was struck Friday in a chain-reaction accident at Collins, the patrol said.

Preston L. Foster, 75, was on Highway 13 when two cars collided and one of them struck his 2014 Thor motor home.
