Shirley Lorene Jackson Frangella, 88, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2015, in Oak Forest, Ill.

She was born June 27, 1927, in Tarkio, daughter of James Ervin and Dora Srepta Smith Jackson. She and Frank Frangella were married March 12, 1947.

She graduated from Houston High School in 1945 and worked as a cosmetologist in Chicago, Ill.

She had suffered a stroke and was under hospice care.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters, Zola McCann, Zora Post and Alice Hooton; and three brothers, Clifford Jackson, Lorin Jackson and Donald Jackson.

Survivors include a son, Frank Frangella Jr.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Bonnie Carter of Bucyrus; and many other family members and friends.

She was cremated. Burial at a later date will be in Jackson Cemetery.
