LINDSAY KOCH

Gov. Jay Nixon on Friday appointed Deputy Recorder of Deeds Lindsay Koch, of Raymondville, as the new Texas County recorder of deeds.

The position became vacant after the death of Susan Warkentin.

Koch, a Republican, has served as the interim recorder of deeds and has been with the office since last July. She previously served as the Texas County deputy assessor from 2007 to 2014. Democrats had submitted the name of David Adkison of Houston.

“Lindsay Koch has experience in serving the people of Texas County in a public office, and I am confident she will serve them ably as their new recorder of deeds,” Nixon said. “I also want to express my appreciation to the family of the late Susan Warkentin for her service to the people of this county.”
