ALTON MONROE JR.

Alton Franklin Monroe Jr. passed away on May 16, 2015 at the age of 69.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Monroe nee Conklin of Cabool, MO.; daughter, Jody (Jeff) Bakameyer of Marthasville, MO.; two sons, Will Monroe of Warrenton, Mo., and Matt Monroe of Warrenton, Mo.; brother, Alan (Donnie) Monroe of Alabama; sister, Polly Terry of Texas; granddaughter, Kinsey Bakameyer; and grandson, Hunter Bakameyer.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alton Monroe, Sr.; and brother, Alvin Monroe.

Alton graduated high sSchool in Cabool, Mo. He retired from De Peres Hospital after 35 years in the cardiac cath lab.

Alton’s hobbies were the NRA, he was a naturalist and enjoyed working in his yard and float trips on the Current and Jack’s Fork River. He enjoyed his job tremendously at the hospital.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation was Wednesday, May 20, at Pitman Funeral Home in Warrenton. There was a private interment.
