Houston seventh-grader Kim Tieu had two of the four first-place finishes March 31 in the opening meet for the Houston Middle School track team.

Tieu won the 400 meters in 1:13.49 and also topped the field in the triple jump with a leap of 24 feet, 10 inches.

Fellow seventh-grader Kelly Hubbs won the 200 in 32.19. Clayton Moore, also in the seventh grade, won the 1600 in 6:08.76.

Seventh girls: Callie Adey, second, long jump; Hubbs, third, 100 meters; Tieu, third, 800 meters; Tieu, fourth, long jump; Kameron Hall, fourth, 200 meters; Shelby Ozier, fifth, 1600 meters; Janae Huff, sixth, triple jump.

Seventh boys: Moore, third, triple jump; Dakota Burchett, fourth, shot put; Moore, fifth, 400 meters; Connor Wilson, sixth, triple jump.

Eighth girls: Shelby Korte, fourth, 800 meters; Korte, fifth, triple jump; Elayna Sisk, fifth, high jump; Melody Buse, sixth, 100 meters; Buse, sixth, 200 meters, Buse, sixth, high jump.

Eighth boys: CJ Lee, third, hurdles; Paydon Dixon, third, long jump; 4×100 relay (Dawson Koch, Corey Theriot, Lee, Dixon), third; Lee, fifth, shot put; Aidan Sawyer, fifth, discus.
