Johnny Ozen Kimbrough, 24, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at the family home in Hartshorn.
He was born Dec. 7, 1990, in West Plains, son of Jonathan B. Kimbrough and Cynthia Lucille Rutledge Mahan.
He attended Summersville Schools and graduated in 2009. He was a sophomore at Ozark Technical College in Springfield, where he was pursuing a degree in philosophy.
He enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing, swimming and hunting. He loved to be in nature taking walks and hunting Ginseng. He loved to play video games.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Duke Kimbrough.
Survivors include his father, Jonathan Kimbrough and significant other, Vivian of Alton,; his mother, Cynthia Mahan and husband, Carl, of Hartshorn; siblings, Warren Kimbrough of Springfield, Kalysha Stowers of West Plains, Brandon Mahan of Jefferson City and Carlie Mahan of Hartshorn; maternal grandmother, Eva P. Kimbrough of Koshkonong; paternal grandparents, Larry and Patricia “Pat” Rutledge of Summersville; and many other friends and family members.
Services were Saturday, April 11, at Midvale Church with the Rev. James Bradford and Elder James Kimbrough officiating. Burial was in Midvale Cemetery under the direction of Bradford Funeral Home.
