The following are excerpts of reports generated by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:
•A Bucyrus woman reported March 23 that a TV and some jewelry had been stolen from her Emery Road residence. There are no suspects.
•A deputy was dispatched at about 11:15 p.m. March 29 regarding a report of an assault at a Highway 32 residence at Plato. A man who lives there (age unreported) told the officer a 39-year-old woman had punched him in the face. The officer observed swelling and lacerations on the man’s lip.
The man stated he didn’t wish to pursue charges.
•Deputies dispatched at about 5:40 p.m. March 22 regarding a report of a domestic dispute at a Lone Pine Road residence at Mountain Grove.
During an investigation, drug paraphernalia that tested positive for methamphetamine was found in the possession of a 28-year-old man at the location. The items were seized as evidence and a probable cause statement was sent to the county prosecutor seeking charges against the man.
•William A. Reno, 62, of 13218 McCulloch Drive in Licking, was issued a citation for failure to maintain adequate control of an animal after a pit bull dog he owns allegedly killed a neighbor woman’s dog on March 28.
•A 26-year-old Summersville man called March 29 to report that his 22-year-old estranged wife was causing problems at his Highway W residence.
An officer made contact with the woman and advised her she to leave the house since she had an active ex-parte against the man and that made it illegal for her to go there and harass him.
•A deputy was dispatched March 28 to an Orchard Street residence at Raymondville after a 39-year-old man reported that a cream colored van had almost hit him while speeding down the street.
The man told the officer he had an ongoing dispute with the 26-year-old man driving the van. The officer made contact with the van’s driver, and he said the older man always tries to harass him when he drives by and that he would begin using the other end of the road to access his residence.
•A 36-year-old Licking man reported March 23 that a red Honda ATV valued at $4,800 had been swiped from his Highway 137 residence. There are no suspects.
•A Minnesota woman called March 28 to report dogs not being fed at a Highway 137 residence (town unreported). An investigating officer made contact with the man who owns the dogs, and he stated they are well fed and that his soon-to-be former wife was just trying to get him in trouble.
•A woman called March 27 to report that a mint green 35-foot mobile home valued at $15,000 and owned by a Wisconsin man had been stolen from a Freedom Road property at Willow Springs.
While on the way to the location, an investigating officer observed the trailer at another Highway 137 property and made contact with a man there who stated he had purchased it from another woman for $500. The officer told the man he would need to return the trailer,
Investigation of the matter continues.
•A deputy was dispatched at about 11:45 p.m. March 19 after a woman reported a peace disturbance at the Bel Noir Apartments on U.S. 63 in Cabool. The officer determined the allegations in the matter were unfounded.
•A deputy was dispatched at about 9:45 p.m. March 23 regarding a report of an assault at a Dooley Street residence at Houston. The officer reported that both people involved refused to prosecute.
•A deputy was dispatched at about 12:45 a.m. March 24 regarding a report of a burglary at a Highway W residence at Summersville. A man who lives there said he and his wife were separated and that she had broken in to get some of her belongings. The officer advised the man that the matter was civil, not criminal.
•A 49-year-old Plato man reported March 26 that numerous tools with a total value of $395 had been stolen from his Highway 32 residence. There are no suspects.
•A deputy was dispatched at about 4:30 p.m. March 23 regarding a report of a man yelling and cursing at a Roberson Drive residence at Houston loud enough that kids across the street could hear. The officer warned the man against causing a peace disturbance.
•A woman called March 25 to complain that her brother-in-law was on her Arthur Creek Road property at Houston. An officer advised the woman that until her divorce was final, her husband could allow anyone he chooses onto the property.
