Houston High School senior Lizzy Swindell signed a softball scholarship Saturday with East Central College in Union.
Swindell, a first baseman, was second in batting with a .430 average while leading the Lady Tigers in doubles (13) and RBIs (42). Swindell also tied for the team lead with three triples and was third with 31 runs scored.
She joins an East Central program that went 32-22 in 2014 and earned a spot in the national tournament of the National Junior Collage Athletic Association.
