Houston police are investigating the theft of about $2,800 in merchandise from a downtown Houston property.
An officer on patrol observed late last year that all the glass had been broken out on the door of a storefront on Grand Avenue.
During an investigation, the officer determined the building – which formally housed an eating establishment – is being used as a storage space for an auction company. The owner of the auction company reported that numerous items with a total value of $2,800 had been stolen.
Investigation of the matter continues.
