An elderly Willow Springs man was injured Friday afternoon in a Highway Y accident about 11 miles north of his hometown, the patrol said.
Tpr. C.P. Chatman said a 2005 Ford Taurus driven by Joseph F. Mueller, 85, ran off a driveway, went through a fence and struck a tree at about 3 p.m. Mueller, who sustained minor injuries, was taken by private vehicle to Mercy Hospital in Mountain View.
Chatman said the vehicle had moderate damage, and Mueller was wearing a seat belt.
