The Houston Tigers fell to 0-2 on the young season with a 68-49 loss Tuesday at Mansfield.
Kobe Sutton and Dylan Hooper scored 12 points apiece to lead the Tigers. Sutton hit three of Houston’s seven 3-pointers.
Mansfield’s Jacob Caruso led all scorers with 31 points. Mason Roy added 10 as the only other Mansfield player in double figures.
Houston trailed by 35-26 at the half and by 17 points entering the fourth quarter.
Senior Ty Wilkins grabbed a team-best 12 rebounds. Nathan Poynter led the Tigers with six assists.
