Houston senior Kolby Walker was named to the all-district first team to lead five Tiger selections.
Fellow senior Ty Wilkins was named to the second team as a receiver. Matt Wheeler, Keegan Spurlin and Matt Knarr received honorable mention.
Walker, a 6-foot-1, 255-pound linebacker, easily led Houston with 115 tackles his final season at HHS. The team’s second-leading tackler had 39 less than Walker. He also had five tackles for losses and one interception.
Wilkins, who rejoined the Tigers for his final season after sitting out the previous two, was the team’s top target when they went to a spread offensive look. Wilkins caught 17 passes for 419 yards and five touchdowns. All were team highs.
Wheeler, a junior defensive tackle, was second on the team with nine tackles for losses in nine games. His 64 overall tackles were fifth on the team.
Spurlin, a junior, anchored Houston’s offensive line that averaged 265.6 yards per game. The Tigers had 1,855 rushing yards and another 801 through the air.
Knarr, a junior defensive back, had a team-best 12 passes broken up in the HHS secondary. He was among the team leaders with 55 tackles and recovered two fumbles.
