The Missouri Department of Insurance reminds Missourians that Medicare open enrollment endsĀ on Sunday. To help consumers choose a plan that best meets their needs, the department offers assistance through the CLAIM program.
CLAIM provides Missourians on Medicare and their caregivers free and unbiased help from certified counselors. Seniors can ask questions by phone or arrange one-on-one counseling by callingĀ 800-390-3330Ā or visitingĀ missouriclaim.org.
āAs time is running out on open enrollment, I encourage seniors who havenāt already enrolled in a plan for next year to immediately contact a CLAIM representative,ā said John M. Huff, director of the department.
Counselors can answer questions about switching your Part D prescription drug coverage or Medicare Advantage plans. CLAIM also can assist Missourians with limited income to determine whether they qualify for federal or state help in paying for prescription drugs. Medicare offers theĀ Extra Help program, and the state offers theĀ MoRx program.
Consumers with complaints or questions about insurance can call the department’s Insurance Consumer Hotline atĀ 800-726-7390Ā or visitĀ insurance.mo.gov.Ā
