Vivian Lewis Hartman, 86, passed away Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014, at Houston House.

She was born Nov. 18, 1927, in Eunice, daughter of George Wesley and Minnie Lynch Lewis. She married Earl Avery Hartman.

She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, where she enjoyed playing the piano and leading the song service.

She loved working in her flower gardens, sewing, reading, making quilts, genealogy and playing the piano. She enjoyed watching things grow and bloom, especially her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Maxine Ross and Ruby Hines; and a brother, George Lewis Jr.

Survivors include children, Roger Hartman of Batesville, Miss., and Terry Hartman and Tammy Robertson of Summersville; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; a sister, Naomi Vance of St. Charles; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services were Tuesday, Oct. 14, at Bradford Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Steelman officiating. Burial was in Summersville City Cemetery.
