There were nine injury-related accidents and one fatality in Troop G during the Labor Day Holiday, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Troopers responded to 18 traffic crashes and arrested nine people for driving while intoxicated. The patrol made 30 drug arrests and issued 296 speed summonses, 72 safety belt summonses and five child restraint summonses. The organization also answered 179 calls for service.
Other totals from the holiday included:
- 99 speed summonses.
- 10 seat belt summonses.
- Two other hazardous moving vehicle summonses.
- 14 nonmoving summonses.
- Two driver’s license summonses.
- Two uninsured motorist summonses.
- One stop sign summons.
- Four misdemeanor warrant arrests.
- One felony warrant arrest.
- Six drug arrests.
- 127 warnings.
“We are always sorry when we experience a fatal crash in Troop G, as we did this holiday weekend,” Captain Mark Inman said. “Please exercise the highest degree of care behind the wheel and always wear your seat belt.”
