The Missouri State Highway Patrol said five persons were injured — one seriously — in a crash Friday, June 13, in southeast Texas County.

A 14-year-old boy was seriously injured Friday in a southeast Texas County crash, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Cpl. Terry Nelson of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said a 1999 Dodge Ram pickup driven eastbound on Arroll Road by Christian L. Denton, 18, ran off the roadway and overturned.

Kenneth Shaul, a passenger, was flown by helicopter to Mercy in Springfield. Denton was to seek his own treatment. Others receiving minor injuries and taken to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains were: Delanea G. Burnett, 14, Pomona; Trevor A. Jackson, 18, Willow Springs; and Ciera J. Tarlton, 13, Pomona.

The Clear Springs Fire Department was called to the scene.
