Vendors and friends of the Houston Farmers Market are invited March 20 to a meeting at the Houston Visitors Center.
Those attending from 6 to 8 p.m. will receive an update on several items:
•Introduction of a farmers market board of directors and 2014 officers.
•The board will present market rules and fees, market days and hours and a live animal sale policy.
•Downtown Houston will present information on successful grant applications and opportunities to join the organization.
•Robert Rouse of USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service will discuss the USDA high tunnel program.Â
