Vera Lea Derryberry, 81, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at Mountain View Health Care.

She was born Feb. 22, 1932, in Bancroft, Neb., daughter of Clyde and Pearl Haeffner McCallister. She and Ray Derryberry were married Nov. 27, 1952.

She was a member of the Summersville Church of Christ. She was a volunteer at the Summersville Senior Center.

She enjoyed reading, sewing and working jigsaw puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Ray of the home in Summersville; a daughter, Wanda Hill of Webster Groves; a son, Larry Derryberry of Ballwin; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Hoevelmann of Fenton; and a host of other family members.

Services were Sunday, Nov. 10, at Bradford Funeral Home with Brother Kevin Ferguson officiating. Burial was in Summersville City Cemetery under the direction of Bradford Funeral Home.
