Carl Monroe Tabor, 68, died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013.
He was born March 24, 1945, in Mountain View, son of Lee and Nell McBride Tabor. He and Shirley Enloe were married Sept. 21, 2002, in Eminence.
He was a member of Praise Assembly Church in Summersville and enjoyed the
fellowship of many family and friends.
He spent most of his life in the timber industry. He was an avid golfer and loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Raymond and Bill Tabor; two sisters, Katherine Melton and Pauline Tabor; a son, Kenneth Tabor; an infant son, Carl Tabor Jr.; and a stepson, Jason Shoults.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley, of the home in West Plains; two sons, Tim Tabor of Farmington and Kevin Tabor of Festus; three sisters, Elda Phelps of Mountain View, Bennie Baumgarten of Cedar Hill and Hazel Easkey of St. Clair; two brothers, Bob Tabor of Evansville, Ind., Cliff Tabor of Mountain View; a stepdaughter Tammy Younger of West Plains ; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members.
Services were Thursday, Aug. 22 at Bradford Funeral Home with the Rev. Arvel Schweighauser officiating. Burial was in Antioch Cemetery.
