Lewis “Louie” E, Morgan, 59, died Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at his home in Mountain Grove.

He was born Sept. 16, 1953, in Houston, son of Louis Elmer and Frances Belle Stanton Morgan.

He was an auto mechanic and logger. He loved the outdoors and spent many hours fishing and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Johnny Morgan; and three sisters, Aleta Braithwaite, Brenda Morgan and Marjorie Morgan.

Survivors include a son, Jason Morgan of Plato; three grandchildren; three brothers, Jerry Morgan of New London, Charles Morgan of Palmyra and Marty Morgan of Little Rock, Ark.; two sisters, Vivian Warner and Sherry Skaggs of Bucyrus; a special friend, Connie Preston; and many other relatives and friends.

Memorial services are 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, at Evans Funeral Home with Pastor David Barbee officiating. Visitation is 1 p.m. until service time. He was cremated.
