Lois Storm, 84, died Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, at the Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston.
She was born May 15, 1929, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to Duke and Dollie (Smith) Breeden.
On July 26, 1946, she was united in marriage to Lloyd Storm. To this union, three sons were born, Don, Dale and Darrell.
After an extended residence in Colorado, the couple moved to Licking, where they started Storm Lumber and Pallet. After retirement, they managed the Skyline Motel in Springfield. Then they owned and managed first, The Country Store and later the Tarry Inn Motel in Licking.
During her lifetime, Lois was also employed at the Laundromat in Fort Leonard Wood, worked at the Rawlings Factory and performed duties as a dietary aide at the Licking Park Manor.
Lois was a member of the Licking Christian Church, pastored by Rick Mosher. She gave her life to the Lord many years ago and lived her life accordingly. Her favorite pastimes include spending time with her grandchildren, watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball and listening to bluegrass music. She also enjoyed gardening, attending fish fries and visiting casinos to play slot machines with friends and family any time she could.
Her influence and love was felt by many and treasured by those closest to her.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; four brothers, Bill, Pete, Duke and Woodrow Breeden; and one sister, Vida Keeney.
Survivors include her sons, Don Storm and wife, Chris, Dale Storm and wife, Sue, and Darrell Wayne Storm and wife, Susie, all of Licking; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Funeral services for Lois Nadine Storm of Licking were 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at the Evans Funeral Home in Houston with burial in the Licking Cemetery. Pastor Rick Mosher officiated. Pallbearers were Willie Storm, Terry Storm, Josh Storm, Nathaniel Storm, Justin Storm and Austin Gayman
