Ruby Marie Spacek, 85, of Summersville, died Sunday, July 28th, 2013.

She was born Sunday, July 28, 2013, daughter of John and Lydie Goodin. She and Milton Eric Spacek were married April 5, 1947.

After graduating, she received her teaching degree. She taught in a one-room school. She and her husband made their first home in Pilot Rock, Ore., before returning to Summersville.

She accepted the Lord as her Savior in 1947 alongside her sister, Mary. She attended Oakside Community Church.

She enjoyed cross-stitching, sewing, quilt making, gardening, making donuts and chocolate chip cookies and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49, Milton Eric Spacek; and four siblings, Thomas Goodin, Irene Foshe, John Goodin and Viola Leek.

Survivors include two children, Barbara Elaine Wallander of Mountain View and Richard Dennis Spacek of Fordland; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Edna Foshe of Houston, Earl Goodin of St. Louis and Mary Tune of Summersville.

Services were Tuesday, July 30, at Oakside Church with the Rev. Richard Spacek, the Rev. Dale Wallander, the Rev. George Smith and the Rev. Dean Goldsmith officiating. Burial was in Oakside Cemetery under the direction of Bradford Funeral Home.
