Four Houston golfers qualified for sectional play after placing in the top 15 at Monday’s districts in Mountain View.
Ty Albrecht, Cheston Malam, Dalton Hale and Jordan Russell will each compete Monday in the Class 2 sectionals after advancing through districts.
Albrecht shot a 26-over par 98 to earn a spot on the all-district team, which included the top 15 scores. He and Adam Carter from Willow Springs tied for the final district slot.
Ava and Mountain Grove advanced to sectionals in the team competition. The next 15 golfers not on those teams advanced individually. Malam (104), Hale (105) and Russell (109) all made the cut.
