The Houston Lions Club held a recent dinner for area leaders documenting the organization and its contributions to the community.
Highlights of the dinner was the main presentation made by master of ceremonies Don Shelhammer, who covered the history of the Lions Club and contributions to sight and hearing programs; an induction ceremony for new Lions Scott Dill and Craig Yingling, a skit by local Mark Twain impersonator Howell Burkhead, music by Don Bordwell and Company and a catered meal.
A drawing for a turkey shotgun raffle was won by Miles Fringer. A drawing was also held for a one-year paid membership for a new member and was won by Bob Krantz of Houston.
The organization thanked everyone who attended.
