The following reports were generated in the past week by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department.
•A 29-year-old Cabool man reported on April 22 that a log skidder had been damaged that was at a job site on Highway M. There are no suspects.
•A 26-year-old Licking woman reported April 23 that her 2000 Dodge Dakota valued at $4,500 had been stolen from her Hartville Road residence. The woman stated that the truck was a silver and gray 4X4 extended cab model with a bed liner. She said she didn’t know who might have taken it.
•An officer was dispatched on April 23 to a property on Mount Olive Road to stand by as a representative of Mountain View Oil picked up a propane tank, which was retrieved without incident.
•An officer responded at about 6 p.m. April 25 to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in a driveway at a Malbery Road residence at Cabool. The officer determined that the vehicle had a flat tire.
•An officer was dispatched April 26 at about 8:30 a.m. to a Possum Trot Road residence at Raymondville regarding a deceased male. The officer reported that an investigation led to the determination that the 56-year-old man had died due to aspirating on his own vomit after excessive drinking.
•A 23-year-old Success woman reported that her dog had been stolen from her Success Road residence. She described the dog as a chocolate pit bull with a white patch on its chest.
•Lindsay R. Hodson, 31, of 202 Dorsey St. in Cabool, was issued citations for failure to obey a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest after an incident April 17 on Iron Mine road.
Hodson was cited after officers responded to a report of a woman passed out in a vehicle. When an officer arrived at the scene, Hodson reportedly got out of the vehicle and ran into the adjacent woods.
Another officer caught up with her and attempted to make contact, but she ran away again. The officer then caught up again, and tried to place Hodson in restraints, but she tried to get away.
She was eventually subdued and cited.
•On April 25, a man requested that an officer come to his Highway Y property and determine whether plants growing by a gate were marijuana. An investigating officer determined they weren’t.
•An officer responded April 20 to a report of a break-in at a Highway 32 restaurant at Plato. A 32-year-old woman who owns the restaurant told the officer that nothing appeared to be missing, but about $2,500 in damage was reported. The officer photographed the damage. There are no suspects, and investigation continues.
•A woman called to report a man stumbling through the yard of her Sherwood Drive residence. Before an investigating officer arrived, the man reportedly left in a white Chevrolet extended cab pickup. The officer was unable to locate him.
