Billy Dean White, 73, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2012.

He was born Oct. 1, 1940, in Concord, Calif., son of Luther and Georgia Coats White.

He grew up in Texas County. He attended Green Hill school through eighth grade before joining Houston High School. He joined the Navy at age 17 and was a nuclear inspector of ships and submarines.

He was a devout Christian and member of Golden Hills Community Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Kathryn McNew, Nadine Williams and Jeanene Gardner.

Survivors include his wife, Lynn, of the home; two daughters, Sandy Simpson and Kim Rowlings of Las Vegas, Nev.; five grandchildren; a brother, the Rev. Bob White of Taneyville; two sisters, Darlene Jackson of Hot Springs, Ark., and Marvene Kramer of Calabassas, Calif.; and many other relatives.

He was cremated. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
