The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded several contracts for southeast district projects — including one in Texas County —during its regular meeting on Feb. 6.
Work will soon begin.
An $899,834 contract was awarded to APAC-Missouri Inc., for an asphalt overlay with the addition of shoulders on Highway 17 from Highway 38 to U.S. 63 in Houston.
A turn lane will also is planned at Lilly Avenue and West Highway 17.
