A Willow Springs man was arrested on two charges on May 27, the state patrol said. 

A Houston man faces felony charges after being involved in a two-car accident Jan. 28 at a U.S. 63 business.

According to a Houston Police Department written report, an officer responded to the scene of the accident at about 9:30 a.m., and determined that the driver of one of the vehicles had a revoked license and had 12 prior convictions for driving with a revoked or suspended license.

The officer arrested the man – Frankie E. Brooks, 59, of 9352 Highway E at Houston – and took him to the Texas County Jail on felony charges.

In other police matters, two Houston women were issued citations on Feb. 1 for stealing under $500 after being caught attempting to shoplift several items from the Houston Dollar General store at about 4:30 p.m., according to a report.

An assistant manager of the store told the investigating officer that several customers had informed her that two women were placing items in the purses and pockets. The officer made contact with the women in the parking lot and cited Tori F. May, 28, and Johnny L. Dixon, 28, both of 112 W. Spruce St., Apt. 4, in Houston.

Also on Feb. 1, Roger C. Blanks, 19, of 112 W. Spruce Street, Apt. 1, in Houston, was issued a citation for minor in possession of alcohol by consumption after an officer responded to a report of a man staggering near U.S. 63 at about 4 p.m.
