A program geared toward beef producers is planned Thursday, Feb. 21, in Houston.
The program, which is set for 6 p.m. at the First Christian Church fellowship hall, is hosted by the Texas County Soil and Water Conservation District, University of Missouri Extension, Natural Resource Conservation Service and the Texas County Cattlemen
Speakers are Logan Wallace, University of Missouri Extension livestock specialist, and Ted Probert, University of Missouri dairy specialist.
The program is open to everyone interested in beef sire selection and use of (Expected Progeny Differences) EPDs to strengthen beef herds
A steak dinner sponsored by Mike Moyer, Taylor Angus and Salem Livestock Auction will be provided. Registration is required by Feb. 15 to cover the meal.
