Charles J. “”Chuck”” Gaston, 60, son of Murl and Neva Frampton Gaston, was born March 13, 1940, in the Eunice community. He died Feb. 2, 2001, at his home near Houston. He married Wanda Terrill of Summersville Oct. 19, 1957. They had three children. He served in the U.S. Army from April 1957 until February 1960. The Gastons moved to Houston in 1974, where he owned and operated Chuck’s Auto Body Shop until four years ago. He enjoyed spending his spare time fishing and hunting. He was baptized Dec. 31, 2000. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother. Surviving are his wife of the home; his sons, Randy of Houston and Terry of St. Louis; his daughter, Rhonda Hicks of Houston; four brothers, Ernest, Lonnie and Kenny of Houston and Paul of Mountain Grove; three sisters, Thelma Nichols of Houston, Barbara Longwell of Springfield and Linda Hayes of Wichita, Kan.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a special niece and nephew, Bailey and Brayden Gruben. Services were Feb. 5 at the Church of Christ in Licking with Larry Tubbs officiating. Burial was in the Big Creek Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.”
