Loretta Rebecca Farrow, 77, daughter of Orison McKenny and Beulah S. Joplin, was born May 29, 1923, in Ripley County. She died Feb. 10, 2001, en route to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains. She attended grade school in Ripley County and Grandon High School in Carter County. She married James “”Nick”” Hale. They had one daughter. Mr. Hale died, and she married Blayne “”Pete”” Farrow in 1973. Mrs. Farrow retired from Monsanto in St. Louis in 1978. The Farrows moved to Summersville in 1992, where they were active in the community. Begining in January 1999, she lived at Willow Care Residential Home until she moved to the nursing home unit. She was preceded in death by her husbands, James and Pete; her parents; one brother, Allen McGonigal; a sister, Louise Meroux; and a stepson, Gary Farrow. Surviving are her daughter, Dettra Lynn Shear of St. Charles; a stepdaugh-ter, Sherry High of St. Peters; a half sister, Barbara Gettings of Doniphan; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services were Feb. 12 at the Bradford Funeral Home Chapel in Summersville with the Rev. Dorvan Stringer officiating. Burial was in the Bethel Cemetery. “
