Millie Jean Black, 70, daughter of Harold Totman and Millie Jean Bauer, was born Jan. 6, 1931, at Newburg. She died April 9, 2001, at the emergency room of Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston. She attended the Church of Christ in Licking and enjoyed sewing, drawing and painting. Surviving are her husband of 1 years, Bill Black of Licking; two sons, James of Licking and William of High Ridge; two daughters, Brenda Kay Maxwell of Jenks, Okla., and Cathy Dye of Pomme de Terre; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Graveside services were April 11 at the Black Cemetery near Lenox with Larry Tubbs officiating under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.”
