Darlene S. Benson Bean, 59, daughter of W.C. “”Bud”” and Helen Benson, was born Feb. 20, 1943, at Success. She died June 20, 2002, at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston. She enjoyed painting quilts, singing, being outside and spending time with her family and church. She was baptized at an early age and became a devoted Christian. She was preceded in death by her father. Surviving are her husband, Charles H. Bean of Success; one son, Benny Bean of Licking; one daughter, Sharon Greathouse of San Antonio, Texas; her mother of Success; two brothers, Donald Benson and Dale Benson of Licking; and six grandchildren. Services were June 22 at the Licking Christian Church with Rick Mosher officiating. Burial was in the Licking Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home. “
