Ila Zoe Emery White, 71, daughter of Marion and Ethel Tedrick Emery, was born April 1, 1931, at Mountain Grove. She died June 14, 2002, at St. John’s Regional Health Center in Springfield. She grew up in the Mountain Grove area, graduating from Mountain Grove High School in 1948. She attended Southwest Missouri State for two years, re-ceiving a teaching certificate. She taught at Cherry Point in Wright County. She married E.F. “”Bill”” White in March 1952. They had six children. Mrs. White loved to spend time with her family and friends, taking her grandchildren on vaca-tion, the family on annual spring and fall trips to the lake or sitting in the yard watching the cars go by. She crocheted 1,000s of dollies and afghans over the years. Her family’s fa-vorites were her homemade bread and cinnamon rolls. She was a member of the Simmons Baptist Church and the Rocky Branch Ladies Club. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990; a son, John in 1983; and her parents. Surviving are three daughters, Dixie Beller and Bonnie Lunbeck of Cabool and Cathy Stapp of Broken Arrow, Okla.; two sons, Bill “”Butch”” White of Cabool and Terry White of Neosho; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services were June 17 at the Elliott-Gentry Funeral Home Chapel in Cabool with the Rev. George Sholtz officiating. Burial was in the Oak Dale Cemetery near Simmons. “
