Larry Glenn Hafner Sr., 61, son of Dexter “”Deck”” and Vera McCarty Hafner, was born Aug. 15, 1940, at Manhattan, Kan. He died July 9, 2002, at Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla. He married Shirley Smith Sept. 9, 1959. They had one son. Mr. Hafner was a member of the First Baptist Church in Licking and Latimer Lodge #145 of Licking. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife; one son, Larry Jr.; two sisters, Jean Mitchell of Crane and Carol Nungesser of El Dorado, Kan.; five grandchildren and one great-grandson. Services were July 12 at the First Baptist Church in Licking with the Rev. Robert Gifford and Dr. Wilbur Mobley officiating. Burial was in the Licking Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home. “
