Virginia Mae Pursiful Holland, 75, daughter of Ross Pursiful and Faye M. Floyd Chilton, was born Nov. 15, 1926, in Sherrill Township in Texas County. She died July 10, 2002, at Blanchette Place Care Center at St. Charles. She was saved at age 9 and bap-tized at the White Oak Hole at Montauk State Park. She married Otto W. Holland Dec. 10, 1945. The Hollands spent most of their years together in the military, serv-ing in Alaska, Hawaii and other places in the 48 states. They re-turned to Licking in 1971. She en-joyed her family, quilting, crochet-ing, gardening and traveling. She was preceded in death by her father; brother, Bob Pursiful; step-father, George Chilton; and hus-band. Surviving are her sons, Thomas R. Holland of St. Charles and Gary R. Holland of Licking; her mother of Licking Park Manor; four grand-children and four great-grandchil-dren. Services were July 13 at the First Baptist Church in Licking with the Rev. Steve Floyd and Dr. Wilbur Mobley officiating. Burial was in the Patterson Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home of Licking. “
