Audrey Loretta Sears, 86, daugh-ter of John A. Jeffries and Carrie McDaniel Jeffries, was born April 16, 1916, at Big Piney. She died Aug. 24, 2002, at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston. She married Webb Sears in 1941. They lived in Texas County all of their lives. She graduated in 1954 from Blue Bonnet Beauty School in Springfield. She was an active member of Houston Garden Club, Rebekah Lodge, Texas County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and a Red Cross volunteer. She had two stepchildren, Lealand and Annabelle, and was “”Auntie”” to three generations of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Surviving are one sister, Juanita Casebeer of Bolivar; and one brother, Jerald Jeffries of Mt. Vernon, Va. Services were Aug. 28 at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Jeff Moore and the Rev. Louie Lowe officiating. Burial was in the Pine Lawn Cemetery. “
