Ganelle Francis Davidson Collins, 85, daughter of Floyd Edgar and Stella Agnes Davidson, was born Dec. 11, 1916, in Iowa. She died Aug. 30, 2002, at Houston. Shortly after her birth, her family moved to Elk City, Kan. Growing up on the farm, she was the seventh of eight children. When she was about 20, the family moved to southern California. Mrs. Collins and a good friend, Velma Hail, formed an evangelistic team with Velma doing the preaching and Ganelle playing the Spanish guitar and singing. Later in life, she learned to play the steel guitar and played for church services. In Ontario, Calif., she worked at American Optical, grinding lenses. She worked at General Electric Iron Co. She married Bill Collins Nov. 18, 1954. They had two children. After the children were grown into their late teens, she started working part time in the homes of elderly and disabled, doing a homemakers job. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Orin, who died in infancy, and Olin; and three sisters, Berla Uitts, Fern Click and Violet Davis Plate. Surviving are her husband of Bucyrus; her son, Dennis Delayne Collins of Bucyrus; daughter, Sharon Elaine Moore of Rancho Cucomunga, Calif.; a brother, Wayne Davidson of Victorville, Calif.; a sister, Ellene Pendarvis of Blythe, Calif.; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Services are 2 p.m. Friday at Faith Fellowship with the Rev. Bill Villapiano and the Rev. Clair Uitts officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. Visitation is 7 to 8 o’clock tonight (Thursday) at the Evans chapel. “
