Thelma Dean Frisbee, 91, daughter of David Smith Hamilton and Elizabeth Madge Yancy Hamilton, was born March 3, 1911, at Sargent. She died Aug. 3, 2002, at Willow Care Nursing Home at Willow Springs. As a young child, Thelma moved with her family to Orvego, N.Y., where her mother’s family lived. Her father owned and operated a barber shop. The Hamilton family returned to Cabool to care for Mr. Hamilton’s ailing parents, Matthew and Elizabeth Hamilton. She married George Edward Dodds in June 1931. They had two children, David and Elizabeth. She married James W. Frisbee Nov. 11, 1942. They had three daughters, Linda, Donna and Wanda. Mrs. Frisbee was a member of the Cabool General Baptist Church and served as president of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She is remembered for her homemade pies, crocheted doilies, gardening and friendly manner and smile. She was preceded in death by her husband, James; her parents; siblings, Chester Hamilton, Herbert Hamilton, Mildred Callihan and an infant brother, Loyd. Surviving are her children, David “”Buck”” Dobbs of Paonia, Colo., Elizabeth “”Betty”” Sue Collins, Linda Bowling, Donna Haddock and Wanda Reed of Cabool; 13 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren, 17 great-great-grand-children and one step-great-great-grandchild. Services were Aug. 6 at the Cabool General Baptist Church with the Rev. Ed Murdy and the Rev. Darrel Thornton officiating. Burial was in the Cabool Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Gentry Funeral Home of Cabool. “
